A Few Updated Pics

Well, the summer is winding down and here at the Alexander house, we are NOT happy about that! Soccer is gearing up and will start this weekend with a weekend camp. Luke's second birthday is just around the corner - Aug. 2nd with the party on the 8th. Eli starts school on the 13th and Jill will go back on Sept.1, Eli's birthday. Just typing all that makes me tired and a little sad. We have had a great summer and hope you have enjoyed the pictures along the way. I have updated a few on the sidebar as well as the header picture at the top of the blog. Keep checking back, more will be coming soon!

Pre-Peachtree Pic

So as most of you know I ran the Peachtree on the 4th of July in downtown Atlanta. It was an amazing experience and I cannot wait to do it again next year. Thank you to all of you who prayed for a pleasant day for us, it was great. The humidity was low and the temperatures were quite pleasant. I didn't even break a sweat until we were about three miles into the race. I ran with my "training buddy" and great friend Angela Laughlin as well as a great friend of mine that was our neighbor in South Carolina, Tiffany. Tiffany now lives in Alpharetta so she let Angela and I stay with her the night before the race. On race day we had to ride the Marta, new experience for me, into downtown so we carried only the bare essentials. This meant that we had no camera...so the only pic I have to post is one that was made in Tiffany's driveway at about 5:00am Eastern time, 4am my time!!! Although half asleep we were excited to get on the way!!! We plan on making this an annual tradition so if any of you would like to join us next year, we'd love to have you on our "team."

Cousins & Frogs?!

Anna Beth and Katie have been with us for a few days while Donna had summer conference in Birmingham. We have had lots of fun just playing and what great weather we have had making outdoor fun even more enjoyable!! We went to the park and had a picnic and we even got in a little water slide time. In addition to these activities, our friend Jackson brought over some frogs he caught and before I knew it, Jill had "adopted" one.

Here are the girls making the frog a home.

Here is MY daughter HOLDING a frog. I see I haven't worn off on her too much or she would think this might give her warts....

The girls enjoying a treat.

Jill and Katie wanted to see if they could touch their nose with their tounge - Oh what funny things these girls like to do.

Katie found Eli's old Awana Cubbies vest and decided to pretend she was a girl scout. Isn't she cute. I'd buy cookies from her for sure!!!

Pump-It-Up

While at Grammy and Poppa's we took the kiddos to Pump-It-Up in Montgomery. On our way, Ashley remembered that it was pre-school jump so that meant Anna Beth and Eli would not be able to jump. We decided to ask for special permission for them to jump however they said they couldn't do it. We are at the car trying to decide what to go do when the manager came out and said that he would open the other room just for us!!!! We had a blast! Here are a few pics to enjoy. Grammy and part of the grandkids - Donna's girls were in the restroom (for those of you who know Donna's girls, that will come as no surprise!)

Eli and Jill - actually acting like they love each other!
Ashley and her boys!
We made the best of the photo-op time but not all children were willing to participate.

One Sunday Morning

Jill was more than happy to pose for pictures for me....

Luke on the other hand was not so happy. Jill continued to hold her pose.

She actually found Luke's behavior amusing....

Hilarious, even.

What's a girl to do?

My Boys...

I just loved this picture and thought I would share it with you all. What a sweet big brother. Eli, I hope you realize how much your little brother adores you. He will always look up to you and think you hung the moon!

Fountain Fun!!

While at Donna's in Gadsden we took the kiddos to the fountain by the river. They had a great time. We need one of these in our neighborhood!!

Luke didn't like the fountains very much. He hung out in his chair and ate crushed ice. It's a hard life but somebody's gotta do it!

Eli, that has got to be painful!

The girls - aren't they cute!

I-Pod

Luke had discovered Mom's I-pod...so what's his favorite song, "We will rock you!" He listens to it over and over and over again. His second favorite song is "Single Ladies." Hope you enjoy the pics. Wish I had a video to go with it. Maybe next time.
