Playing Catch-up

I haven't updated in awhile so I am playing catch-up now. Pictures take so much longer to download on here than they do on facebook!! Anyway, what have we been up to? Well, this past Saturday we spent a wonderful day at the lake with the Ray family and several other people/families from Jamie's work. The official title of the day is Spring Fling '09. The term fling describes what will happen to anyone who dares to participate in the days festivities - behind the boat on a tube - if you catch my drift.... We made it through the day injury free, however not all participants were so lucky, as you will see below. The kids had a great time enjoying all the entertainment available to them at the Ray's. Thank you guys so much for hosting, we had a blast!! Can't wait til next year!

Jill, Eli, and Luke enoying the jungle gym.
The one major injury of the day required a trip to urgent care and three stitches. Mr. Ron was a trooper!
Luke couldn't decide if he wanted to play in the water or drink it.

This past week we also had sport camp at our church. The kids had a wonderful time even with heat indexes reaching 105!! Infinity Sports put on a great camp and we hope they will come back and do it again next year!
Eli awaiting his award at the end of the week Awards ceremony. Every child was given an award that was special to them. Eli received the "Made to Act" award because he didn't merely listen to instructions but acted upon them.
Worship time each day was really fun. Lots of loud music and even a little dancing in a Baptist church.
Grammy and Poppa also made it for a little visit. We are always glad when they can stop by. Luke and Jill decided that this would be a perfect time to play dress-up.

Well, we are off to Disney the end of the week and we are so excited we can hardly wait. It will be Jill's first time to fly and I think she is a little nervous about that. We have lots of reservations for character meals with all the important characters, Mickey, Cinderella, Lilo & Stitch, and Pooh & Piglet. We will also be dining one evening in downtown Disney at the Rainforest Cafe. With all the eating I hope we will have time to take in the Magic Kingdom. Good thing the park will have extended hours!! We will update with lots of pictures when we get home!!

A Super Busy Week...

We are going to have a super busy week this week! We have sports camp at church from 9-4 everyday and the kids are really excited about that. Eli did not get to participate today b/c he has been sick since Saturday. I think it was probably food poisoning. We went to the galleria for lunch on Saturday and Eli ate Sbarro's pizza and bread sticks. About 5pm he started getting sick and then by yesterday was running a fever and still couldn't keep anything down. Finally today he is feeling better and is able to eat and keep it down!!!

Eli, we are so glad you are feeling better!!

A Visit to Grammy & Poppa's

The Alexander family has been very busy this past week or so. Eli had Sting tryouts and he made the U11 Chelsea Sting competitive team. We are so proud of him. If only I had remembered the camera so I had pictures to share. I will do a better job during the season, I promise. Luke and Jill went to spend the night this past Friday with Grammy and Poppa so that we could have a neighborhood garage sale and they would not be in the way. Thank you so much Grammy and Poppa for letting them come and get some lovin' from you!! They had a GREAT time and are ready to come back. While I was getting things together for their trip, this is what I found....
